J.W. McMorries, Jr., IFAS, owner of the company, has over 40 years of appraisal experience. Licensed in Texas and Oklahoma, McMorries is a past president of the Hereford Kiwanis Club and was on the board of directors of the Amarillo Association of Certified Appraisers, Texas chapter. He is also a member of the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary and the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. Over the past

Mr. McMorries has been involved in the appraisal and/or consulting in appraisal of commercial, industrial, farm and ranch, residential, personal, and mobile home properties. He has provided expert testimony in federal, state, district and county courts in 267 cases. He has also provided appraisals for SBA loans and foreclosures. Mr. McMorries has deep roots in the Texas Panhandle region. He was a 1962 graduate of Amarillo High School and has certifications from the University of Texas at Austin, Texas Tech University in Lubbock, and Amarillo College. Certifications include the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (IFAS), the American Association of Certified Appraisers (CA-S), the National Association of Master Appraisers (MSA, MRA, MFLA), the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission, the Department of Housing and Urban Development-CHUMS #2081 since 1985, the Texas Association of Assessing Officers and the Board of Tax Professional Examiners.
